Ferrari stole a surprise march at the 2012 Beijing auto show when it announced a few details about its forthcoming Enzo successor. The powertrain you see here is essentially the hybrid supercar architecture which'll underpin the new hypercar being readied for launch later in 2012. Ferrari chief Amadeo Felisa told CAR the electric powertrain would lop 10% off the 0-124mph time - and its V12 is related to that in the F12, but with more power and 40% lower CO2 emissions.
From 5-9 August, over 24000 artists, designers, research scientists, developers, filmmakers, and academics gathered in San Diego, California, for the 34th Siggraph Conference on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques. The Siggraph conference and exhibition ranges from several days of highly technical courses and academic paper presentations, through to hands-on demos of new technologies, an art gallery, computer animation festival, and the two-day exhibition by software and hardware vendors. Making its debut at the Seoul Motor Show is the Chevrolet Mi-ray. The Mi-ray, which takes its name from the Korean for future, is a hybrid sports car that is the first concept car from the Korean arm of GM. Which, considering its name, aptly represents the future of the brand as well as the ‘future of muscle cars.'
